Howie Mandel has signed on to return as a judge for the upcoming season of “America’s Got Talent,”

“I’m doing my fourth season of ‘America’s Got Talent,’” Howie told Access Hollywood’s Kit Hoover. “I’m going to re-judge for my fourth year,” he added, with a laugh.  Howie joins Howard Stern, who previously signed on for his second season of the NBC reality competition, and an incoming third judge who will replace Sharon Osbourne, who exited the show.

When asked by Kit, “Did you call Howard to tell him you were coming back or how did that go?” Howie replied, “Yes I did. I phoned Howard and I said I’m coming back, and he said ‘who is this?’”

“I’m thrilled to be back,” Howie said of returning to “AGT.” “This is my fourth year [and I think the talent] has been getting better and better every year.”

We headed to San Antonio for the first time ever to find the next winner of America’s Got Talent. We met a lot of talented people in the friendly state, and had the privilege of declaring January 12, 2013 as official America’s Got Talent day. We cannot wait to return with our judges!
